CHARLOTTE, N.C., May 24, 2010 — Drawing on its history of thoughtful engineering, leading car seat and stroller manufacturer Britax introduced today the B-READY, a versatile and stylish modular stroller equipped to meet the growing family’s needs. The B-READY can be converted from a single child system to a two-child or twin system utilizing any combination of seats, bassinets and infant car seats in 14 possible configurations. This allows little ones to be secured comfortably in various appropriate positions on the stroller, also making it easy for parents to watch them as they rest or sleep. B-READY is the most comprehensive stroller on the market with single-child configurations and the option to expand it for infant twins or two children. As a result, this stroller helps ensure that parents will “be ready” as their families grow.
“For years parents and caregivers have relied on Britax for the thoughtful details that make life on the go easier and safer,” said Jon Chamberlain, president of Britax USA. “Our product designers know that parents want products with extended life spans that can grow with their family. The B-READY was designed with more options when traveling with one or two children. The result is a feature-rich and adaptive stroller design inspired by how parents hold and connect with their children.”
The B-READY offers a number of features that make it practical and easy to travel with children. The stroller features a removable seat that can be positioned forward or rear facing (from 6 months to 55 pounds) as well as an adjustable, no re-thread five-point harness system, multi-position recline, large canopy to shield children from harmful UV rays, and full suspension ensuring a smooth ride.
For parents’ comfort and convenience, the B-READY features an adjustable top handle with a molded grip, and a large storage basket and removable parent pouch that can hold items such as baby’s toys, keys or a cell phone. The stroller comes with an automatic chassis lock that locks the frame in a folded position, and the stroller’s flat fold allows parents to easily store it with or without the seat attached. A one-foot anti-scuff linked rear brake helps determine when brakes are locked or unlocked by red and green indicators.
The B-READY also functions as a complete travel system from birth when used with the Britax B-READY Bassinet or an infant car seat (both sold separately), offering a total of five configurations for one child. The stroller is compatible with major manufacturer’s infant car seats and can accommodate the Britax Chaperone Infant Car Seat using the Britax Click & Go Infant Car Seat Adapters (included). When used with the lower infant car seat adapter kit, the stroller also becomes a complete twin travel system, featuring an additional five configurations.
The second child seat (sold separately) can accommodate a child from birth up to 35 pounds. A combination of the second child seat, an infant car seat and the Britax B-READY Bassinet make for an additional four configurations that hold two children in the stroller. The mix of single and double configurations offers parents a total of 14 options.
“All said, the versatility of the B-READY reflects the many ways a mother carries her child or children,” said Jon McGuire, Britax product manager. “Facing her or facing away, upright or lying down — with the B-READY she knows that her children are as secure and comfortable as they are in her arms.”

The B-READY comes in four fashions — each matching a 2010 Chaperone Infant Car Seat fashion — and will be available at retailers beginning in July 2010. It has a suggested retail price of $499.99 and includes a rain cover and cup holder as well as the Britax Click & Go Infant Car Seat Adapters (the included accessories add over $100 in value). A second child seat and the Britax B-READY Bassinet are each available separately for $149.99. Additional stroller accessories, such as a foot muff, child cup holder, mosquito net and travel bag, may also be purchased separately.
